Rita Rose Brown

Rita Rose Brown, 89, died at Manor Care Nursing Home in Dunedin, FL on Friday, June 4 2010. She was born on April 26, 1921 in Voorheesvile NY to the late Sebastian and Hatti Halsdorf. She was a graduate of Bethlehem Central High School. She was also a grauate of Mildred Elley College in Albany, NY. She worked for General Electric and then later for New York State Tax and Finance. She moved to Dunedin, Florida, in 1988. She was active in the Red Hat Society, as well as many other community social activities. She is survived by a son, Donald (Patricia) Brown of Oldsmar, FL; a brother Walter Halsdorf of Dunedin, Florida, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Rexford Brown. A Mass of the Ressurection will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010 at St. Madeline Sophie R.C. Church ,Guilderland at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands. Friends may call on Thursday June 10, 2010 from 6 to 8 PM at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont.
