Anita Bonney "Nitzi" has passed away after being briefly hospitalized. She was a resident of Cazenovia, NY, and various places before that, including North Syracuse, Providence, RI, San Francisco, Washington DC, and Ithaca NY.
Nitzi is known to her many book club friends in and around Cazenovia as voracious reader. She was retired from her long-term job at KeyBank, and in her retirement traveled to a number of destinations, both domestic and international.
Born in 1940 to Reed and Jeannette Bonney, she grew up in Ithaca, NY, graduated from Ithaca High School, and went on a scholarship to Brown University. She applied her skills at MONY where she was a computer professional, in the very early days of that profession.
She is survived by two sisters Sandra Kane and Judy Slack, a brother William Bonney, and by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
The family will greet visitors in at the home of Nitzi's sister, Judy Slack, in Altamont, NY, starting at 1:00 on October 8.
