East Greenbush- Ann Panting 93, formerly of Altamont NY died November 16, 2012. Ann was born in Manhattan on April 26, 1919, the daughter of Stephen Maslowsky and Eudokia Kutny Maslowsky.
Ann resided in the hill towns of Rensselaerville, Knox and Westerlo where she joined her loving husband James conducting farming operations, they later moved to Rotterdam for several years. Following Jim’s death in 1982 Ann moved to Altamont where she was active with the Hill Town Seniors and the Altamont Reformed Church.
Ann is predeceased by her parents, her brothers Roland Marlow, William Maslowsky and Michael Twardowsky and her sisters Pauline Remmers and Helen Polukort as well as her husband James and son Glenn.
She is survived by her son Norman (Kathie) of East Greenbush, daughter Linda (Robert) Muller of Delanson and son Roy (Toby) of Kennebunkport, ME. She also has 6 grand children and 6 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are on Monday November 19, 2012 at Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont, NY from 5-8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Altamont Reformed Church at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Heartwood Terrace in Troy and Evergreen Commons, East Greenbush for making the later years of Ann’s life as comfortable as possible.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers those who wish to remember Ann may make a contribution to the Altamont Reformed Church or the Mohawk-Hudson Humane Society, Menands, NY.
