Barbara A. Snyder

Barbara Ann (Traver) Snyder of Berne passed peacefully on Jan 27 after a brief illness, she was 91. Born in Hudson NY to the late John & Clara Traver. She moved to Berne for her senior year of high school where she met her husband, Jimmy. She worked for the phone company in East Berne for a few years, but her longtime favorite job was being a beautician in the hill towns, for many years working along with Ethel her mother-in-law. Barb retired in the 90's.

She enjoyed camping, hunting, snowmobiling, traveling, quilting, painting, and walking with friends Millie and Mary Lou. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Berne Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the First Reformed Church of Berne.

She is survived by her son Michael (Vickie) Snyder, brother-in-law Mitchell (Jane) Snyder, and many beloved nephews and nieces, and great nephews & nieces. She was predeceased by her husband James H Snyder, her parents John & Clara Traver, brothers Jack and Everett Traver, and father & mother-in-law James C and Ethel Snyder.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday Feb 3 at 11am at the Berne Reformed Church.

Private burial will be in the spring.
