Beatrice Harding, 88 of Scotia, died Sunday morning at the Kindred Healthcare in Springfield, MA after a long illness. She was born in Scotia on June 15, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Richard and Lillian (Lawrence) Uren.
Beatrice was homemaker and a long time member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Scotia.
Mrs. Harding is survived by her son, David L. Harding and his wife Laurie of Rotterdam Junction and her daughter Susan Visco and her husband Robert of Northville. She is also survived by grandchildren David and Raymond Harding and Krista and Nicholas Visco, great-grandchildren Graesen and Lake Harding as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, Beatrice was pre-deceased by her sister Eleanor Urban.
A memorial service will take place on Thursday at 9:30 AM at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 50 Sacandaga Road in Scotia. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Entombment will take place in the columbarium at the church. At the request of the family, there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations in Beatrice's memory be made to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 50 Sacandaga Road, Scotia, NY 12302.
