Bruce Jacobs

Bruce Dean Jacobs Born August 28, 1954 Died February 27, 2013 Son of the Late Bernard and Elizabeth Jacobs. Brother of William Jacobs, Susan Jacobs, James Jacobs and his wife Dr. Marcelle Jennifer Reilly, Nancy Jacobs-Hendricks and her husband Ishmeal, and Raymond Jacobs and his wife Kathleen. Predeceased by his sister, Janet Jacobs. Uncle to Jennifer Preisig, James P. Jacobs, Patrick Jacobs, Kelly Jacobs, Amy Hagenbuch, Jessica Hendricks, Aidan Jacobs, and Ciaran Jacobs. Great Uncle to Damien Pearson, Mya and Lexus Hagenbuch. Memorial celebration of his life will be March 23rd at the Garry farm 339 Heldeberg Trail in East Berne, New York. Bruce spent many years of his life in the hilltowns working on the Cole Hill Farm and Harry Garry Farm. He did several years of service in the Peace Corps in Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar. After leaving the Peace Corps, he moved to the Santa Rosa, California where he worked on machinery for the many wineries. Bruce moved back to Berne after sustaining a traumatic brain injury in 2004. Bruce regained his independence and became the unofficial townie of Altamont where he lived until his death. Bruce’s family extends their thanks to his friends who were always there to help him with errands and shopping.
