Charlene M. VanWormer formerly of Altamont passed away on Monday November 13^th, 2023, following a brief illness. She was 56. Born in Bellevue Maternity Hospital in Schenectady, she was the daughter of late Richard and Jean Ciaccia-VanWormer.

Charlene was a graduate of Guilderland High School and Capital District Boces completing her education in cosmetology and earning her NYS Cosmetology license. A talented hairdresser, she practices her craft of making clients beautiful for the entirety of her career. When not in the salon, Charlene could be found cruising around the streets listening to Journey in her various Z28’s that she owned over the years.

Charlene leaves behind her brothers Richard (MaryEllen), Robert, and Mark VanWormer, Nephew Michael (Tina) VanWormer and Great Niece Isabella Torrisi – Van Wormer.

Services were held privately.

In lieu of flowers kindly consider a donation in Charlene's memory to St. Jude's Children Hospital.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Fredendall Funeral Home, 199 Main Street, Altamont.
