Clara B. Auerswald

Altamont- Clara B. Auerswald, 94, died on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at The Avenue Nursing Home. She was born on July 7, 1916 in Schenectady, daughter of the late Vincent and Anna Dziadul. She worked at the Cobb School in Altamont as a cook and a housekeeper. She was a communicant at St. Lucy's Church and a member of the Rosary Society. She also belonged to the Altamont Senior Citizens and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Clara is survived by her daughters Frances Warren and Eleanor Fry, both of Rosebud, AR. She is also survived by a brother John Jackowski as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Carl F. Auerswald. Friends may call on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from 10 AM to 10: 45 AM at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday at St. Lucy's Church, followed by an interment in Fairview Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to the Altamont Seniors or the St. Lucy's Food Pantry.
