David N. Mademann

David Nelson Mademann D.C. Dr. David N. Mademann D.C. passed away on Tuesday at his home in Windham, NY. He is survived by his parents, Paul and Mary Mademann, of Bluffton, South Carolina, his brother Paul J. Mademann of Catskill, NY and his sister Kathryn Mademann Vaughan of Dorset, VT. The cause of death is believed to be heart related. David practiced as a Chiropractor on Route 9w in Catskill, NY. He shared the complex with his brother, Paul J. Mademann, owner of the Summit Hill Athletic Club Inc. Known as "Dr. Dave" to many friends and patients, he is remembered as a very compassionate and caring person and an outstanding professional. David enjoyed helping people to feel better and heal. He was known for his committed follow up with patients and his generosity. David's father, Dr. Paul J. Mademann D.C. was also a Chiropractor and moved his practice and family from Peekskill, NY to Windham, full time in early 1970. David and his siblings graduated from the WAJ high school. David was an avid sportsman. He had a passion for snow mobiles and four wheel drive outdoor vehicles, and enjoyed sharing this hobby with others and teaching younger people. He also enjoyed golf, alpine skiing and hiking in the woods, although participation in some of these sports had been restricted in recent years due to a knee and back injury. He also enjoyed watching football with his friends and a great barbeque. In lieu of flowers, a charitable organization is in formation, the David N. Mademann Memorial Fund For Outdoor Safety Education. The proceeds from this fund will be directed primarily to students in the WAJ area for safety education and outings in the activities David so enjoyed. Donations may be made through: Kevin M.
