Deborah A. Morey

East Berne- Deborah A. Morey, 64, died on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. She was born in Albany, NY on June 17, 1953 to the late William and Jane Herzog. Deborah grew up with her six siblings in the Hilltowns. She graduated from Berne-Knox-Westerlo CSD in 1971. She met and married her husband Christopher Morey in 1972. They settled in "Herzogville" right next door to her parents and cousins and together their lives were always full of family members. She worked as an office manager for most of her career, before retiring she worked at Guilderland CSD as a custodian. Deb loved the Hilltowns. She was the matriarch of the family, always loving and giving guidance. She was happiest when caring for her family. She is survived by the love of her life Christopher Morey; her stepson, Bill Morey; her brothers, Steven, Martin, Timothy and Lawrence Herzog; her sisters, Kathy Anderson and Kim Herzog; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Helderberg Lutheran Church, 1732 Helderberg Trail, Berne on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 12 Noon.
