Diane Lynne Bohl passed away June 6, 2018 after a brief but intense battle with brain cancer in Carmel, California. She was predeceased by her parents Edward C. and June S. Bohl and her sister Deborah Lee Bohl.
Born in Syracuse, Diane moved to Guilderland, New York at a young age and graduated early from Guilderland schools. She went on to earn degrees in Mathematics from Boston University. She worked at MIT in Boston for over 20 years. While on sabbatical in 1988 she found the place and the man she fell in love with in Big Sur, California. Moving to Carmel in 1992, she started a new chapter in her life and became co-owner of the Post Ranch Mercantile, which she ran until 2014.
Diane is survived by her sister Theresa J. Bohl of Saratoga Springs, New York, her partner of 30 years, George K "Mickey" Muennig of Big Sur, California and her beloved dog Habiba.
Services and burial at Prospect Hill cemetery in Guilderland will be private.
