Altamont- Dolores H. Weaver Langer, 87, died May 19, 2009. She was born in Somerville, MA, to the late Arthur and Lucy Cooper. Mrs. Langer served in the United States Navy as a nurse during WWII. She worked as a registered nurse at the Guilderland Center Nursing Home. She was a member of the Altamont Senior Citizens, a lector and Eucharistic Minister at St. Lucy's Church and a member of the Boyd Hilton VFW Post Ladies Auxiliary. Dolores is survived by her children, Carol (Robert) Walsh, Mary (Eugene) Eibe, George Weaver and Patricia (Kevin) Cody; seven grandchildren, Sarah (Joseph), Victoria (Christopher), Brendan (Parrish) Michele, Erin, Danielle and Michael; great-granddaughter Madeleine. Her stepchildren, Richard (Becky) and Robert (Carol) Langer and Mary (Eddie) White. Her step grandchildren Molly, Kurt, Todd, Jason, Heidi, Jennifer and Elizabeth; four brothers, Arthur, Paul, Frances and Richard Cooper, a sister Sydney Lee; her dear friends Kim, Nicole, and Collin Edick as well as Lee Capauano. She was predeceased by Victor H. Weaver, Walter C. Langer and her brother Charles Cooper. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Friday, May 22, 2009 at St. Lucy's R.C. Church. Friends may call from 4-6:30 PM at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont, NY on Thursday, May 21, 2009. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. Donations may be made in Dolores memory to the charity of one's choice.
