In Loving Memory of Donna Lee (Millard) Flynn
Donna Lee (Millard) Flynn of Berne entered into eternal rest on March 9th 2025 in the Delmar Center for Rehabilitation and nursing with her loving family by her side.
Donna was born on July 24, 1943 to Earl and Catherine (Cross) Millard in Troy, NY. Donna grew up in Pittstown, the youngest of six siblings. She married the one true love of her life, Joseph E. Flynn, November 27, 1965. They enjoyed 59 years of marriage, having two children, Evelyn and Timothy.
She was a talented painter, especially of horses, an accomplished poet, gardener, and bird watcher. She taught kindergarten for ten years at Capital Christian Academy, instilling her love for the Lord into her students. Donna then became director of His Table Soup Kitchen, in Troy, which she continued to run for 32 years. Her life well lived left a lasting legacy for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was pre-deceased by her parents, Earl and Catherine Millard, sister Betty Sandercox, and brothers Ralph Millard, Rodney Millard, Roger Millard, and James Millard.
Donna leaves behind her husband Joseph, daughter Evelyn Krimsky (Stephen) of Berne, Timothy Flynn (Jessie) of Watervliet, 13 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren, 26 nieces and nephews, a sister-in-law Katherine Herald of Lansingburgh, and a brother-in-law Leonard Smith Jr of Malta.
Calling hours will be Friday, March 14th from 6-8pm in Rock Road Chapel, 96 Rock Road, Berne. A celebration of Life service will be Saturday, March 15th at 10:30am also in Rock Road Chapel and a friend and family luncheon will follow.
Great thanks to The Delmar Center for providing excellent care for the last 3 months, Pastor Jay T. Francis and our church family at RRC for unfailing support, and to Eli Hernandez, MSN, FNP-C of Koinania Primary Care for excellent clinical care over the past several years.
