Donna M. Ostrander

Knox- Donna M. Ostrander, 71, died on January 26, 2014 at Ellis Hospital after a brief illness with her family at her bedside. She was born on December 19, 1942 to the late Harry Palombo and Leona Trotter in Schenectady, NY. She is survived by her daughters Kimberly (Robert) Fortuin and Rebecca (Antonio Sr.) Slingerland-Buonpastore; her grandchildren Tyler, Jordan, Jennifer, Brandon, Seanna, Gianna and Antonio Jr.; her sister Carol Warner; her sister-in-law Janet Palombo; her step-mother Delia Palombo; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Donald A. Ostrander; her brothers Charles and John Palombo and sister Bernice Hart. Donna was a graduate of Berne- Knox High School. She retired from the US Postal Service and currently was employed at Hannaford Supermarkets in Guilderland. At her request, a funeral service will be private for the family only on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 4PM at Fredendall Funeral Home 199 Main Street, Altamont, NY.
