A lifelong avid archer in the Iroquois Rod and Gun Club, he took the top archery prize in his division of the NYS Senior Games.
Ed was predeceased by his three sisters, Ruth (Al) Shannon and Carol (Joe) Crook of Albany, NY and Mary (Rip) Collins of Pittsburg, PA. He is survived and missed by his 7 children: daughters Lynda of Syracuse, NY, Deborah White of Windsor Locks, CT, Diane of San Antonio, TX, and sons Robert (Marri) Avisa-Hanrahan of Albany, Thomas of Altamont, Brian (Robin) of Red Hook, NY and Jeffrey of Sacramento, CA, as well as 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and his friends.
