Elmer R. Becker

Knox - Elmer R. Becker, 89, died at home on Sunday March 4, 2012. Born on April 12, 1922 in Wright, NY, he was the son of the late John and the late Altina Becker. He worked for the NYS Thruway Authority for 27 years as a mechanic. He was a longtime member of the Knox Reformed Church. He was member the Knox Volunteer Fire Company for over 50 Years, during which he served as a past Chief and President. Elmer was also a Knox Town Councilman for 4 years. He was the President and Superintendant of the Knox Cemetery for over 40 years. Elmer is predeceased by his wife Vivian Becker. A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Monday, March 12, 2012 at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont. A spring burial will be held in Knox Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Elmer's Memory to the Knox Reformed Church.
