Elmer Thomas Ogaard

Knox- Elmer T. Ogaard, 69, died at home on, Thursday, December 3, 2009. He was born on August 27, 1940 and raised in Brooklyn, NY to the late Elmer and Adeline Ogaard. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1961 where he served for four years after, which, he moved upstate. In the early 1970's he went to work for the United States Postal Service, where he retired from after 35 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years Lydia Ogaard; Loving father of Stephen Oggard, Michael (Mandi) Ogaard, Erica (Scott Kirsch) Ogaard, and Diana (Bear Campo) Ogaard; loving grandfather of Alexander; Devoted son-in-law of Elizabeth Shedina; a sister Marilyn (Bill) Burt and their daughter Tiffany and her four daughters; two cousins, Stephanie (Dennis) Warnesky and Denise (Matthew) Mahon. A funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Monday December 7, 2009 at the Knox Reformed Church followed by an interment at Knox Cemetery. Friends may call prior at the church from 10 am to 12 pm.
