Ethel Mae Snyder

Berne,NY- Ethel Mae Snyder, 99 died July 8,2012 at St. Peters Hospice Inn. She was born April 19,1913 the daughter of Charles and Anna (nee Jansen) Adams in Berne NY. She was predeceased by her husband James in 1992 as well as her son James in 1983. She is survived by her son Mitchell and daughter- in- law Jane Snyder as well as her daughter-in-law Barbara Snyder. She is also survived by her grandchildren,Michael (Vickie),Matthew (Lisa),Neil (Erin), Andrea (Cy) Nelson and Luke (Samantha) Snyder. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren. Ethel was a very active and lifelong member of the First Reformed Church of Berne,past matron and member of the Order of the Eastern Star Uhai Chapter 803,a member of the Berne Fire Dept. Ladies Auxillary,a very strong supporter of the Democratic Party and a strong advocate for the Red Cross having been very insrtumental in getting the blood mobile to Berne. Calling hours will be on Wed. July 11,2012 from 10-11am. The Eastern Star will have a service at 10:30am and Rev. Robert Hoffman will conduct the funeral service at 11:00am all in the Fredendall Funeral Home,199 Main St. Altamont,NY. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Berne, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the First Reformed Chuch of Berne in Ethel's memory.
