Gary Robert Parsons

Quaker Street - Gary R. Parsons, 67, died peacefully on Wednesday April 25, 2012. Born on October 15, 1944 in Deposit, NY, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Mary Jean Parsons. He was a graduate of Cornell University. He went on to become a Wildlife Biologist for the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, eventually retiring as the Bureau Chief of Wildlife. He enjoyed traveling. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had a great love and passion for the people around him. Gary is survived by a son Shannon (Kim) Parsons; a daughter Tammy Parsons; a granddog Odie; five siblings, Douglas (Joyce), Dale (Sue), Debbie (Al), Jean (Al) and Mike (Bernadette); as well as nieces, nephews, family and friends. Friends may call on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 2 PM to 5 PM at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont.
