George A. Gould

Guilderland- George A. Gould, 91, died on Monday April 20, 2009 at home. He was born in Cutbank, Montana to the late James and Alice Gould. George served in the Army from 1936 to 1939 and then served in the coast guard from 1942 to 1946. He was employed by AT&T for over forty years. George is survived by his children Bruce (Christine Williams) Gould and Candace (Robert) Lider; Four grandchildren Jill (John) Roarke, Tracy (Paul) Phoenix, Caroline and Chauncey Cole; Four great grandchildren Briley, Liam, Jayden, and Ashlynn; Two sisters and a brother; as well as his companion Dorothy Siebert. George is predeceased by his wife Miriam Schofield Gould and three brothers. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday April 25, 2009 at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont. Friends may call prior to the service from 12 pm to 2 pm. Those who wish may make donations in George's memory to the Citizens Environmental Coalition.
