Pratt, George, P. - Altamont

George P. Pratt, longtime resident of Altamont passed away peacefully at his home April 3rd at the age of 94. Son of the late George and Mary Lang-Pratt. Beloved husband of the late Faith Pratt who passed away in 2021.

George will be fondly remembered by the Village of Altamont for his long career as Police Chief. Through his long career he made many friends and gained the respect of his beloved Altamont residents who he enjoyed protecting and serving.

George is survived by his sister Joan Gailor of Saratoga and several nieces and nephews. Also survived by his stepsons Bob (Deb), Michael and Randy and his god daughters DeeDee (Scott) and Andi.

Family and friends are invited to visit with George's family Thursday April 6th from 3-6pm in Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont. A private inurnment in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery later.
