George Allan Taylor passed away at home with his family at his side, on Dec. 10 at the age of 89. He was born on Feb. 17, 1923 to William and Dorothy Taylor, and lived his entire life in Guilderland and Altamont. He possessed a unique and wonderful sense of humor, which he used to enrich the lives of those who knew him. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he was always dedicated to his family and maintained an ultimately positive outlook and zest for life. He has for decades, enjoyed a host of his own pets, as well as those of neighborhood friends.
George is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, the former Evelyn Brust. He leaves behind his daughter, Pat (Henry) Whipple, his son Gary (Erika) Taylor, his grandchildren Alan Whipple, David Whipple (Cortnee Gillson), and Melissa Whipple, Jessica (Jason) Abbott, and Candice Patriquin, great-grandchildren Chase, Kaiden, and Nathan Abbott, his sister-in-law Winifred Brust, and cherished nieces and nephews.
