Gray Normington

Gray Normington of Rotterdam passed away peacefully on Sunday in his home surrounded by family. A man who loved his family with his whole heart has headed home to be with his Heavenly Father. His caring and gentle nature is a testament to his identity in Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior.

Born in 1935 in Cohoes, NY. He was the son of the late Clarence and Jenny Bow (Gray) Normington. He was the beloved husband of Suzanne Haley Normington for 62 years. The loving father of Frank Richard Normington (Patty), Gary Normington (Karen), Peter Normington, John Normington, and Susan Knapp (Dan). Beloved Pop to Morgan, Nick and Colin Normington. He is survived by his older brother John Normington (Giorgia) and predeceased by his younger brother Bob Normington (Barbara). He was also the generous and caring uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

Gray and Sue enjoyed running their antique/next to new business for 35 years. One of the things he enjoyed most about the business, besides working with his loving wife everyday, was the relationships he built with his customers. The thrill of the hunt for new treasures was something that brought him great joy up until very recent times.

He was a member of Princetown Evangelical Presbyterian Church for over 40 years. Gray dearly loved his church family. Their constant support of love and prayers for he and his family during these past years, had brought him comfort and peace. The family greatly thanks you for all of your support during these difficult times.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 2nd at 11am in the Princetown Church, 3662 Giffords Church Rd, Duanesburg, NY 12056. Family and friends are invited and may visit with Gray's family from 9-11am, prior to the service in the church. A luncheon will immediately follow the service.
