Henrietta C. Lane

Henrietta Celia Beach Lane, age 93 of Ashland, NY died on Wednesday, August 27th at Robinson Terrace Nursing Home in Stamford, NY. She was born on October 6, 1920 in East Jewett daughter of Sanford and Florence Beach and predeceased by her husband, Carl Lane, her three sisters Dorothy Robinson, Nettie Morrison and Arlene Beach. Henrietta is survived by her four children Lois Melin ( husband George), Sandra Mattice (husband Larry), Carol Garraghan (husband Guy), and Terrance Lane (wife Nancy). She also leaves behind ten grandchildren, fourteen great grand-children, and five great, great grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and dear friends. Henrietta was married for well over sixty five years. The majority of her life was spent working on the farm and raising her family. She was a proud mother and wife who enjoyed watching her family grow. She enjoyed her evenings out with her close friends playing bingo, a good game of canasta and being with those she loved. In lieu of flowers, Henrietta wished for donations to be made in her name to the Ashland Rescue and Ashland Fire Department for all their dedicated service. Arrangements are as follows: Calling hours at Decker Funeral Home- Friday, August 29th from 6-8pm and service on Saturday, August 30th at 11am at the Ashland Methodist Church
