Herman Daniel Guyett

Herman Daniel Guyett passed away on the 8th. of October 2023, at the Grand Nursing Home in Guilderland Center, New York. He was born on the 22nd. day in July 0f 1945, in Barre, Vermont. He was the son of Herman D. Guyett, Sr. and Margaret R. Turner. He was married to Bonnie A. Conn for over fifty years. Herman was the brother to Rose Guyett, Anita (Kurt) Waller, Joseph Guyett,Sr., Ellen ( Gene ) Rhoten, James Guyett, Constance ( Tony ) Travis, Patricia Guyett, Richard Guyett.
Herman was the brother-in-law to Warren L. Conn, and son-in-law to Warren and Bessie Conn. He was predeceased by, four sisters and one brother, Nancy ( Bill ) McKee, Herbert Guyett, Iris ( Dan ) Mankins, Claire Guyett, and Anne ( John ) Jerome. Herman was a volunteer fireman and EMT with the Guilderland Fire Department, for many years. He held many jobs from warehouse, janitorial, taxi driver, and factory.
During his retirement, he spent his time in his garden, and on many projects around his house. He was an avid biblical reader, and he would always quote from the bible, after reading the bible, he and his wife would sit and watch television together. Herman was a friend to all, everyone who met him on the street, he always had the time to say hello and strike up a conversation with them. Funeral Services will be held in the Fredendall Funeral Home located at 199 Main Street in Altamont, New York, on the 13th. of October 2023 between 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. There will be viewing hours for his family and friends to pay their respects, and then a graveside service will be held at the Fairview Cemetery in Altamont, New York.
The Family of Herman Guyett would like to thank the St. Peter's Hospital. and the Grand Nursing Home for their hard work in caring for Herman Guyett. The Family would also like to thank the Frendendall Funeral Home for their time and effort and care in making Herman Guyett's departure from this earth, a beautiful one.
