Howard B. Tuttle

Ashland- Howard B. Tuttle,65 died Feb. 9,2013 at Columbia Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He was born on April 15,1947 the son of late Herbert and Mildred(Hoyt) Tuttle in Catskill, NY. He is survived by his wife Susan Cook Tuttle,his children Beth Tuttle Spaulding (Mark) and Scott Tuttle (Eve). He is also survived by his granddaughters Carly and Hannah, his brother Richard Tuttle,his sisters Dianne Miller and Virginia Shaw,his sister in law Ida (Hoare) Tuttle as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Donald and Lester Tuttle, his sisters Ruth Park and Charlotte Whitbeck. Howard was the former owner of the Valley View Farm in Ashland for thirty five years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served from 1967-1970. He was a lifetime member of the Ashland Fire Dept. as well as a member of the Soil and Water Committee and various other farming committees. Mr. Tuttle loved his farming and his grandchildren immensley. Calling hours will be held at Decker Funeral Home , Windham, NY on Wed. Feb. 13,2012 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Thurs. Feb. 14,2013 at 11:00am with Pastor Todd Luce officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Ashland, NY In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Town of Ashland Ambulance Service , P.O.
