Delanson- James L. (Jim) Vecellio, 79, of Delanson (Knox), NY, passed away quietly at his home on Nov. 12, 2015. Jim was born in Bradford, Pa. to Julia (Pingie) Vecellio and Joseph Valentino Vecellio on July 12, 1936. He went to high school in Bradford and graduated in 1954. He entered the Army in 1955 and served in the3rd Armor Division in Germany. He worked at Hanley Brick Company in Lewis Run, Pa. and later at Air Products & Chemicals in Glenmont, NY. Upon retirement, he worked at Hannaford Supermarket in Guilderland, NY. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and mowing on his riding tractor. He loved his dogs Juneau, Dawson and Cody. Jim is survived by his wife Connie (Seybert) Vecellio of Knox, his daughter Nina (Vecellio) Webb, and son-in-law Jamie Webb of Sloansville, NY, his granddaughters Julia Robson and Bailey Webb, his brother Larry Vecellio from Gainesville, Georgia, his sisters-in-law Marilyn, Gail and Barbara Vecellio and nieces and nephews Mike, Julie, Tim, Lori, David, Jeff, Tracey, Larry Jr., Marc and Jason. He is preceded in death by his parents Julia and Joseph Vecellio of Lewis Run, Pa. and brothers Ernie Vecellio of Bradford, Pa, Dick Vecellio of Lewis Run, Pa. and Ron Vecellio of Gifford, Pa. Jim wished to be cremated and will be laid to rest with family at a later date. No services will be held. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312. Jim's family wishes to extend their gratitude to Fredendall Funeral Home in Altamont, NY. We also extend a special thank you to his devoted friends, Ken B., John W., Cindy P., the Dialysis Center and A & N Transportation.
