Jeffrey Jay Bidwell from Middleburgh, NY died unexpectedly at home on September, 27, 2012.
Born on October, 2, 1948 in Albany, NY. , he was predeceased by his parents, George and Verna Bidwell and his son Steven. Survived by daughter Traci, brother Richard (Uncle Dick), sisters Carol (Ray) White, Elaine (Steve) Wright, and Vicki Bidwell. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He will also be missed by his Hilltowns family and the local racing community. Jeffrey attended school in Voorheesville, NY and received an Honorable Discharge as a Spc 4 from the US ARMY, having served 1968-1970. He was employed as a Firefighter/EMT for the Albany Fire Department for 17 years and was the proprietor of the Knox Country Store during the 80's and 90's.
He was also an avid outdoorsman. He shared a love of motorsports with his son and family achieving the IMCA Track Championship at Fonda Speedway in 2000 and 2001 with Stevie driving the infamous #111. Jeffrey loved to regale his family and friends with his legendary story telling and "bizarre" sense of humor. That will be his everlasting gift to those who loved him.
