In Loving Memory of Jeffrey Harrington

1958 - 2022

Jeffrey Harrington, 63, passed away at St. Peter’s Hospital on Saturday, January 22, 2022, surrounded by his loving family after a long hard-fought illness. Born in Albany on September 29, 1958, Jeff is the son of the late James Harrington and Shirley Merriman.
Jeff graduated from Guilderland High School, was a lifelong tradesman, and a proud member of the UA Local 7 Plumbers & Steamfitters union. He was a lifelong resident of Albany County, living in the Town of Guilderland for the last 40 years. Jeff was an avid fisherman and hunter throughout his life and was passionate about classic cars and trucks. His fully restored 1956 Chevy pickup truck was a source of pride and joy for Jeff, winning multiple awards at car shows around the capital region. He loved to go camping with his family and took pride in taking meticulous care of his beautiful home and property. Jeff also enjoyed taking trips to the ocean, attending dirt track car races, and spending time at his family’s camp on Efner Lake in Corinth, NY.
Jeff was predeceased by his loving wife of 34 years, Jane “Mitch” Harrington in 2014; and is survived by his beloved sons Daniel (Corinne) Harrington and Sean Harrington, his cherished granddaughters Norah and Maggie, and his partner Jill Raymond. He is also survived by his sister Ellen (Kirk) Fisher; brothers James (Lynda), Greg (Patti) and Eric (Lisa); and a large loving extended family.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022, from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at Fredendall Funeral Home, 199 Main St, Altamont, NY 12009.

Interment will be held privately at a later date.
