Joel A. Curro

Berne - Joel A. Curro passed away peacefully on August 29, 2024, with his wife and family by his side. A son of the late Joseph J. and Delores A. Duell Curro, Joel was the devoted husband of Faye Dottino Curro and loving father of Jessica Curro.

Know by most people as "Uncle Joel", everyone he met was greeted with a hug and a big "Heyyyy"! Joel was the family prankster but will be remembered for his big heart. Everyone loved Joel. Joel enjoyed motorcycles and cats, especially his cat Jezebel who greeted him on the other side with open claws! Life will seem a little darker without Joel.

In addition to his wife Faye and daughter Jessica, Joel is survived by his granddaughter Aria Curro; his siblings Laura (Bill) Slingerland Casey, Kenneth (Doreen) Slingerland, Scott (Lindy) Slingerland, Jeffrey Curro, James (Tracey Lawson) Slingerland, Billy (Christine) Slingerland, Joseph Curro and Randy Curro. Joel was the stepfather of William J. Lyons, Leah (Dave) Leonard, Renee Crimes and Shawn (Jen) Lyons. Joel is also survived by many loving extended family members. Joel was predeceased by his siblings Ronnie Slingerland, Michael Slingerland and Traci Lee.
