John H. Bushnell

South Berne - John H. Bushnell, 56, died on Wednesday September 21, 2011 at Home surrounded by his family. He was born on November 16, 1954 in Albany, son of the late Elbridge and the late Margaret Bushnell. He was employed by the Town of Berne Highway Department; he also sold and delivered firewood. John enjoyed spending time with his family especially his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 30 years Beverly Bushnell; five children Heather (Steven) Schwenk, Jessica (David Frank) Wood, Sabrina (Billy) Gauthier, Melanie (Rudy) Stempel and John Bushnell Jr.; eleven grandchildren, Courtney, Marissa, McKenzie, Tyran, Ricky, Riley, Elisia, Brandon, Aalyah, Danica, Trevor "Stump"; five sisters Rose, Mary, Bernice, Emily, and Helen; seven brothers Joseph, Elbridge, Mike, James, Thomas, Robert and Harold. He is predeceased by his first granddaughter Brittany Amber; two sisters Betty and Maggie as well as a brother Stephen. A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Saturday September 24, 2011 at South Berne Congregational Christian Church, followed by an interment in Bushnell Family Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 4 PM to 8 PM at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Community Hospice of Albany.
