Lillian Crandell MacGlashan, 96, went to be with the Lord on March 17, 2014, while in Monroe, Georgia. She was born and lived most of her life in Maplecrest, New York. She was active in the Maplecrest United Methodist Church and later the East Jewett United Methodist Church. She liked traveling around the United States with her late husband and their family. She loved people and stayed in touch with many friends over the years. She was devoted to her family and was a loving grandmother and great grandmother. In her later years she enjoyed crocheting afghans and giving them away.
She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years Leon MacGlashan, and by a brother and three sisters. She is survived by her son Ronald (Mary) MacGlashan of LaQuinta, California and Maplecrest, New York, daughters Louise (Jerry) Grinnell of Stafford, Virginia and Regina (Paul) Anness of Monroe, Georgia, eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Maplewood Cemetery, Jewett, New York on May 10,2014 at 11am. Donations in her memory may be made to Hensonville Hose Company, P.O. Box 297, Hensonville, NY 12439 or Abbey Hospice, 215 Azalea Court, Social Circle, GA 30025.
