LUCILLE SHERLOCK NOWAK
Lucille Nowak of Pearl River, NY age 89 passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on February 9, 1928 to the late Thomas Sherlock and the late Bridget McGushin of Manhattan, New York.
Lucille was very active at St. Aedan's Church and had a passion for her Irish heritage. She had a positive impact on everyone around her and a gift for making people feel immediately comfortable in her presence. She had more spirit and spunk than many teenagers and a youthful energy that was truly contagious. Her sharp mind and unmatched quick wit were awe-inspiring. Lucille was filled with grace, charm, and poise that she prided on teaching her children and grandchildren. Lucille was an accomplished artist, an avid Bridge player, and passionate expert in Word Finders.
Lucille is survived by her husband of 68 years and the love of her life, Raymond Nowak, her daughter Janet Focazio (Robert) of Johns Creek, GA, son Raymond Nowak of Piermont, NY, daughter Tracy (Ed) Sullivan of Hunter, NY, grandchildren Jennie, Brian, Cindy, Laura, Casey and Eddie and six great grandchildren.
