Lyle Newcomb

Altamont, NY - Lyle Aldredge Newcomb 76, died October 9, 2009 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, Guilderland, NY. He was born on July 14,1933 in Prattsville, NY the son of Aldredge and Mabel (nee Tuttle) Newcomb. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Judith (nee Barber) Newcomb, his daughters Carla ( Doug ) Stefan of Voorheesville, NY ,Lori (Stephen)Walrath of Altamont,NY, and his son Lyle Thomas (Rachelle) of Davis, CA. He is also survived by his grandchildren Lesley and Robert Stefan, Lydia and James Walrath and Julianna and Lyla Newcomb, his sister Fay Haynes of Grand Gorge, NY and a cousin Roberta Zeigel of Ashland NY. Calling hours will be held on Wed. Oct. 14,2009 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 140 Maple Ave. Altamont, NY from 10:00am-11am. A funeral service will be conducted at 11am. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of Our Lady of Mercy for their excellent care and kindness. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Lyle's memory to St. John's Lutheran Church, P.O.
