Knox- Margaret "Si" Stevens, 83, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center. Born on August 28, 1926, Si lived and worked her whole life in Knox, until she moved to the nursing home in 2003. After attending Berne-Knox School, Si took over her father's service station. She was very devoted to her family and customers. Si was a member of Knox Reformed Church. She was predeceased by her parents, Daniel Webster and Edna Stevens; brothers, Raymond and Marshall Stevens; sisters, Mildred Wideman and Virginia Clickman. She is survived by sisters-in-law, Emma Stevens and Jennie Stevens, both of Knox; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews; great-great nieces and great-great nephews and, of course, hundreds of beloved friends and devoted customers of Si's station. The family would like to express their sincerest thanks to the staff at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center for the compassionate care they provided Si for the last seven years. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Friday, May 21, 2010 at Knox Reformed Church, followed by an interment in Knox Cemetery.
