Marie Flagler

East Berne - Marie H. Flagler, 85, died on Tuesday, April 20, 2010. She was born on November 5, 1924 in Berne, daughter of the late Ethan and Emma Miller. She was a graduate of the Berne Knox Central High School. On June 7, 1946, she entered into marriage with Walter Flagler, a marriage that lasted for 49 years. She was the Post Master in the East Berne Post Office for over 30 years. She was a member of the East Berne Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Marie is survived by a son Dennis W. Flagler of Glendale, AZ; a daughter Debra M. Flagler of East Berne; three granddaughters Regina Flagler, Christina Flagler and Tracy Williams; a great granddaughter Ryeleigh Flagler; two brothers Kenneth (Patricia) Miller of Albany and Robert (Linda) Miller of East Berne as well as many nieces and nephews and a circle of special friends. Those who have gone before her are her husband Walter Flagler and grandson Michael Williams. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the Thompson's Lake Reformed Church followed by an interment in the Thompson's Lake Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 4 PM to 8 PM at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont.
