Marie A Speenburgh

Athens NY: Marie A. Speenburgh, 89, formerly of the Haines Falls and East Jewett NY area died at her residence in Athens on 12/6/2012. She was born on January 18 1923, the daughter of Howard and Carrie (Drum) Crandell, in Maplecrest NY. She was predeceased by her husband Worthington M. Speenburgh. She is survived by her children Fay (Tom) Lauster, Larry (Sandy) Speenburgh and James (Jeanette) Speenburgh. She is also survived by her sister, Lillian MacGlashan, as well as six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed the craft of quilting, at which she excelled. Funeral services were private, and interment was at Haines Falls Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to a charity of one's choice. Funeral arrangements were under the care of Decker Funeral Home, Windham NY.
