Marilyn J. Siatkowski, 68 of East Jewett, NY passed away on Friday May 23rd 2014, surrounded by her family after an extended battle with cancer.
Marilyn Siatkowski was born on December 1, 1945 to Alathea Amitsis in Catskill, New York. Marilyn worked for many years as the cafeteria manger of the Hunter Tannersville School and had recently retired. She enjoyed her grandchildren, flowers, traveling and family meals together. She is survived by her husband Edward Siatkowski of East Jewett, her son and daughter-in-law Michael and Jeanette Siatkowski of Elka Park, her daughter and son-in-law Randall and Katherine Seltzer of Newport, North Carolina, grandchildren Kylie and Kasha Seltzer also of North Carolina. She is also survived by her brother Charles Lampman of Peoria, Illinois, Nephew Gary Siatkowski of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, and her nieces Cheryl Bonifozio of Pennsylvania, Carolyn Ellwanger of Texas, Sarah Hoffman of Peoria, Illinois, Noreen Denniston of Rochester, New York. She was also survived many thoughtful and loving friends who lovingly supported her throughout her life.
She was predeceased by her son Edward T. Siatkowski , her mother Alathea Amitisis and her sister Virginia Thornburg.
A celebration of her life will be held at Decker Funeral Home in Windham, New York on Friday May 30th from 6-8pm. Donations can be made to community hospice of Catskill or the Cancer charity of your choice.
