Guilderland Center - Marjorie Lawton, 89, died on Thursday April 19, 2012 after a brief illness. Born on October 10, 1922 in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Ina Mae Arnold. She was employed by the Guilderland Center Nursing Home for many years. She was a member of the Helderberg Reformed Church for over 60 Years. She was also a member of Helderberg Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Helderberg Crafters and the Young at Heart Senior Citizens Group. Marjorie is survived by two sons William (Barbara) Lawton and Thomas (Patricia) Lawton; five grandchildren Craig Lawton, Kyle (Katlyn) Lawton, Cara (Chris) Bown, Dana (Conrad) Balejko and Thomas Lawton; a great granddaughter Chloe Balejko; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her husband Richard Lawton. A Committal Service will be held on Monday April 23, 2012 at 11AM in Prospect Hill Cemetery followed by a 12 PM Funeral Service at the Helderberg Reformed Church, Guilderland Center. Friends may call Sunday April 22, 2012 from 5 to 7 PM at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Marjorie's memory to the Helderberg Reformed Church Memorial Fund, PO Box 196 Guilderland Center, NY 12085.
