Myron E. Rosseter

Lexington- Myron Everett Rosseter” Mike”, born on September 10, 1928 to Reuben Myron Rosseter and Catherine Pettee Rosseter in Sharon, CT passed away on December 13, 2018 at The Pines in Catskill, NY with his family by his side.

Mike grew-up on his parent’s farm in Salisbury, CT along with his two brothers; Frank (Jan) Rosseter and Jim Rossester (now deceased) and his sister Rosemary (John) Morelasky.

He joined the Air Force in 1950 serving as an airplane mechanic during the Korean War. After his service to our country, Mike was involved with the construction of multiple ski areas including Mt. Snow, Birch Hill and Windham Mountain. He was a union carpenter at the construction of the Gilboa Dam and during the Empire Plaza formation.

Prior to his retirement, Mike built “Eileen’s Snack Bar” in Lexington along with their chalet home on Route 23A.

Mike is survived by his wife of 46 years, Eileen M. Lynch Rosseter; his sons Dwayne (Laura) Rosseter and Shane Rossester; his daughter Cindy Rosseter; his step-children Thomas Lynch, Kathleen Lynch Griffin and Eileen Rehberg.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 11am – 12:30pm at Decker Funeral Home, 5312 Main Street, Windham, NY with a funeral service to follow at 12:30pm. Interment will take place at Maplewood Cemetery, Jewett, NY.
