Newcomb Julian Dunham, Jr. (Newt), 74 of Tannersville passed away following a short illness at Health Alliance Hospital Broadway Campus with his family by his side on Sunday, August 23, 2015. Newt was born on May 28, 1941 in Jewitt, NY. He was the son of Newcomb Julian Dunham, Sr. and Ida Thompkins Dunham of Schenevus, NY. He was employed by Dunham Tunnel Excavation Corporation, a member of Laborers' Union Local 17. He was also the owner of Newt's Used Cars. He was known as "Treeman" for selling Christmas trees, which also was his CB handle. He was a member of Helping Hands CB Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Newt is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mae Goodfellow Dunham, also of Tannersville, NY, his children Teresa Wranovics of Massena; Newcomb and Colleen Dunham of Kingston; Ronald and Brandy Dunham of Windham; Roy and Michelle Dunham of Kerhonkson; Randy Dunham of Kingston and Roger and Lisa Dunham of Kerhonkson as well as 16 grandchildren & 11 great-grandchildren. Newt is also survived by his siblings, Louise Furness of Florida; Raymond and Penny Dunham of Virginia; Thomas and Darlene Dunham of Kingston; Joseph and Gail Dunham of Lake Katrine; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Junior and Shirley Goodfellow of Dover Plains. He is predeceased by his parents and his sister, Doris Plankenhorn. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Entrusted to the care of Decker Funeral Home, 5312 Route 23, Windham, NY, a graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 11:00 am at Fairlawn Cemetery, Route 23, Prattsville, NY. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Newt to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
