East Berne- Patrick Lounsbury Sr., 79, died on September 13, 2016. He was born in Dormansville, NY on April 21, 1937 to the late Theodore and Lena (nee Fisher) Lounsbury.
He is survived by his by his wife Helen "Marie"(nee Golden) whom he married on Jan 30, 1960 in Altamont, NY; his three children: Patrick Lounsbury, Jr of East Berne, NY and Carrie La Fontaine (Pat Jr close friend/ significant other) who reside St Augustine, Fl, Elaine and husband Paul Browne of Guilderland, NY, and Amy and husband Terry Enk of Oro Valley, AZ--also 3 grand children--Conor and Daniel Browne and Shanelle Lounsbury.
He was one of 17 children--10 brothers, 6 sisters--he was # 6. He is survived by his brothers John and wife Diane of Dormansville, Terry and wife Eva of Duanesburg, NY, and his sisters-Sandra Ross of Westerlo, Bettejean Mueller and husband William of Alcove, NY, Janice of New Baltimore, NY, brother in laws : Don Berkhofer ( New Baltimore), Robert ( Bucky) Peck of Dormansville, Joseph Golden ( wife Gail) of East Berne, James Golden ( Delanson), Patrick Golden ( wife Connie) of Key Largo, Fl, Michael Golden ( wife Mary) of East Berne, sister -in-laws: Irene Orelup Lounsbury ( Dormansville), and Donna Svingali (New Scotland) and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was pre-deceased by his brothers: Theodore and his wife Dorothy Ringwald ( Lake Onderdonk) , Harold ( Dormansville) , Clifton Lloyd and his wife Cora Vincent ( Westerlo) , Clyde ( Dormansville), Thomas ( Westerlo), Dennis ( Westerlo), Roger ( New Scotland) and William ( Westerlo) and his sisters : Marjorie White and her husband Frank ( Westerlo), Janet Berkhofer ( New Baltimore), Harriet Peck and several nieces and nephews.
He served in the US Army and was stationed at Ft Lewis, WA, and Anchorage, AK. He worked over 35 years for Cummins North Atlantic, Albany, NY as a diesel mechanic and power generator Tech. He served as a member of the Berne Town Board for 15 yrs and also as their liaison to the Planning Board. He was a member of the Berne Masonic Lodge for over 30yr.
