Paul Schneider

Paul Schneider ,74 of Vero Beach, FL and formerly of Altamont, NY died on 11-25-2010 in Vero Beach, Fl. He was born on Sept. 2,1936 in Albany, NY. He was predeceased by his grand-daughter Stephanie Amber Sprague. He is survived by his five daughters Helen E. Schneider, Sheena A. Tymchyn, Diane M. Sprague, Michelle B. Catalano and Deborah M. Davis. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren. Paul was a Veteran of the US Navy having served from 1955-1957 in Little America, Antarctica. He was the current owner of the Highlands Restaurant and Tavern in Altamont, NY . Before buying the restaurant in 2006 he was a field engineer having worked for IBM at the Pentagon. In 1995 he sold his house and sailed the Bahamas. Upon his return he became a foster grandfather in North Carolina and taught remedial math. He was extremely proud of this accomplishment. A memorial celebration of his life will be held at Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont, NY on Sunday Dec.12,2010 from 2pm-5pm.
