Ronald Hempstead

Knox- Ronald Hempstead, 68, passed away at home Sunday, June 18, 2017 with his family by his side. He was born in Albany, NY on 1-1-1949, the son of the late William and Bertha (nee Ames) Hempstead. He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen; his son Paul (Kimmy) and his daughter Amy Hempstead (Chris Joslyn); his grandchildren Derek and Dylan Hempstead and Kara Joslyn; his siblings Don (Dayle), Judy (Bruce) Frederick, Tim (Melinda) Quilivan and Maggie (Dale) Darling; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by is his sister Etta Mae Bradley and his brothers Manford, William and Albert; his granddaughter Marissa Joslyn. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 5-8PM at Fredendall Funeral Home, 199 Main Street, Altamont. A funeral service will take place on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 2PM at the funeral home with interment to follow in Knox Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ronald's memory to a charity of one's choice.
