Shelia C. Reilly

Reilly, Sheila C. Altamont, NY Sheila C. Reilly, age 70, after a lifelong battle with Polio, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Troy, NY, she attended CCHS, class of 1961.  She worked for the NYS Tax and Finance Dept until her physical limitations required her to retire early.  Undeterred by her condition, she shifted her focus and dedication to volunteer work.  She was part of the crafts and activities team at the Guilderland Center Nursing Home.  For years, she hosted crafting classes at her home for the local 4H chapter.  She also was a service coordinator for the Altamont Community Caregivers.  She leaves behind her beloved husband of 43 years, John A. Reilly of Altamont, NY.  Also, her daughter Bridget Czaban and her husband Chris of Altamont, her son Richard Reilly and his wife Tanya of Kings Park, NY, and her daughter Colleen Reilly and partner Anthony Ruscitto of Schenectady, NY.  She also leaves her grandchildren that meant the world to her:  Troy, Nicole, William and Jennifer Czaban.  Along with her immediate family, she leaves behind countless treasured family members and friends. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, March 14th, at 10am at St Lucy’s Parish on Grand Street in Altamont.  The family would like to thank Community Hospice at St Peters for their excellent care and attentiveness in her last few days; it was a gift to her and her family as well. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to The Community Hospice, 295 Valley View Blvd, Rensselaer, NY 12144.
