Wayne Dominick Donato of Altamont passed away with his loving family by his side Sunday July 2nd, 2023, following a long illness. Born September 16th, 1965, he was the son of the late Louis Sr. and Mary (Eck) Donato. Beloved husband of Amy Donato.

Wayne was a graduate of Voorheesville High School, and a retiree of the NYS Department of Health. Passionate about farming machinery and working alongside his late brother Bill, Wayne could be found spending time in the Altamont Fair Farm Museum. Wayne was a long-time member of the Hudson Mohawk Chapter of the Pioneer Gas Engine Association. Above all Wayne will be remembered as a family man, spending time with his family which he so greatly enjoyed.

In addition to his wife Amy, Wayne is survived by his daughter Hailee; stepchildren Chelsea, Carly (John) and Andrew beloved 'Pa" to Allison, Johnny, Julian, and Chloe. Also survived by his siblings; Susan Marie (Al), John (Joyce) Pete, Pat, Jerry (Karen) and sister in laws Carol, Louise, Carol, Sue, and Linda.

In addition to Wayne's parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Louis Jr., Nick, Bill (Rita) Joe and Tom.

Family and Friends are invited to visit Wayne's family in the Fredendall Funeral Home 199 Main Street, Altamont on Friday July 7th from 4-6pm. A funeral service with be held in the funeral home Saturday July 8th at 11am, immediately followed by interment in Fairview Cemetery, Altamont.
