KNOX - William H. Salisbury went into the arms of our Lord on January 2, 2011 at the Avenue in Schenectady at the age of 83 with his devoted and loving wife, Shirley Clickman Salisbury, of 31 years by his side. He was born in Albany, New York to the late Harrison Salisbury and Alta Hallenbeck. He was a graduate of Altamont High School and retired from the Town of Knox in 2006 after many years of service. He is also survived by his sisters Pauline Williman and Loretta Seidenberg; Children Patti (Paul) Wolford, Peggy (Rick) Serwanski, Bonnie (Jim) Krasher, Gary (Tracy) Salisbury, Brad Salisbury; Step-children Kevin Cooke (Gail), Wayne Newcomb, Bruce Newcomb (Kelley), Lisa Richardson (Pat), Tina Van Iderstine (Jeffrey); Daughter-In-Law Sharon Newcomb as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Grace Krause. Friends may call on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont. A spring burial will be in Thompson's Lake Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family would like to give a special thanks to the dedicated nurses and aides at The Avenue Nursing Home and Hospice.
